An important university hospital in the West of Ireland requires 2 Consultants in Gastroenterology for at least 6-12 months with a possibility of extension. If interested please apply asap.

Ther hospital provides a comprehensive range of services to emergency and elective patients on an inpatient, outpatient and day care basis across the two sites.

The hospital plays a leadership role in acute service delivery providing regional services for a wide range of specialities and is also a designated supra regional centre for cancer and cardiac services serving a catchment area in the region of one million people along the West from Donegal to Tipperary North.

The hospital is a Model 4 hospital providing 24/7 acute surgery, acute medicine, and critical care.

The hospital is recognised for Higher Medical Training in all specialities.
 
Benefits:

• Initial contract of 6-12 months. Might have a possibility of extension.
• Approximate net monthly salary of 9500-12500€ net/month after tax and pension deductions for Consultant positions (Gross basic salary is from €222,000 to €266,000). Typical long term Consultants in Ireland are earning in excess of 13.000€ net/month (approximately 300.000€ gross/year).
• 31 working days per Year holidays for Consultants+ public holidays (there is 9 in a year).
• 7 study days leave per year to attend conferences or further education for Consultants.
• Up to 12000€ for educational funding for Consultants and 8000€ for innovation projects
• Lucrative pension scheme included of at least 1000€/month.

 
Requirements and Qualifications:
 

1. Should be on the Specialist registrar of the Irish Medical Council for Gastroenterology if this is NOT the case we will help all eligible candidates to get registered with the Irish Medical Council on the Specialist Registrar if he/she has completed his training in Gastroenterology inside the European Union. Please take into account that the process can take up to 3-4 months in total.
2. Have a very good command of written and spoken English.
3. Good motivation to go to Ireland to work as a doctor ASAP.
4. At least 5-6 years experience in Gastroenterology is required (including your training years).
   
5. Experience in General Internal Medicine (outside of Gastroenterology) is ESSENTIAL for this  post.
